RELIEF WORK

Taryaq has always strived to lend a helping hand to our fellow brothers and sisters in the time of crisis and calamity. We are proud to share that our volunteers have always been on the forefront of disaster relief campaigns across the country.

Over the past two decades, our organization has devised a quick and efficient mechanism of mobilizing the teams, both at our Lahore headquarter as well as on site of the tragedy. While some of us work frantically to rally up financial support, other members brave the adverse conditions at the disaster-struck area to dispense first aid, food, clothing, medicine and cash.

2022 - Floods

Taryaq was actively involved in distribution of ration, cash, medicines and other basic necessities to the most affected areas of Nowshehra and Muzaffargarh. We also sponsored the rehabilitation and reconstruction of an entire village. By the end of the project, Taryaq successfully constructed 46 houses and a mosque at Basti Qasaiwala, Muzaffargarh.

2020 - Water Wells

Taryaq is also sponsoring water wells for the purpose of drinking and general usage in remote areas of Sindh and Balochistan, where women are forced to walk barefoot for miles in search of water.

2018 – Rohingya Genocide

The plight of the Rohingya Muslims and the inhumane treatment meted out to them by the Myanmar government was quite unbearable to witness for everyone across the globe. Taryaq felt it was time to extend our humanitarian mission overseas by helping the thousands of refugees arriving at the Bangladeshi border every day. Consequently, food packets, clothes, household items and other necessities were shipped off to the refugee camps set up at Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh on multiple occasions.

2010 – Floods

Taryaq was actively involved in distribution of ration, cash, medicines and other basic necessities to the most affected areas of Nowshehra and Muzaffargarh. 2008 – Swat IDP Crisis

When the beautiful Swat Valley was put under siege by extremist forces, we witnessed a mass exodus of the locals who fled to safety in Nowshehra and its surrounding areas. Taryaq decided to step up and collect funds to help our fellow countrymen in their time of need. We sent ration bags and other basic necessitates for these unfortunate souls who had been relegated to IDP status overnight by a cruel twist of fate.
